大 vs 小 (dà vs xiǎo) – big vs small

这只狗很大,那只很小。
Zhè zhī gǒu hěn dà, nà zhī hěn xiǎo.
This dog is big, that one is small.


高 vs 矮 (gāo vs ǎi) – tall vs short

他比我高,我比他矮。
Tā bǐ wǒ gāo, wǒ bǐ tā ǎi.
He is taller than me, I am shorter than him.


长 vs 短 (cháng vs duǎn) – long vs short

这条路很长,那条很短。
Zhè tiáo lù hěn cháng, nà tiáo hěn duǎn.
This road is long, that one is short.


热 vs 冷 (rè vs lěng) – hot vs cold

今天很热,昨天很冷。
Jīntiān hěn rè, zuótiān hěn lěng.
Today is hot, yesterday was cold.


新 vs 旧 (xīn vs jiù) – new vs old

我的手机是新的,他的是旧的。
Wǒ de shǒujī shì xīn de, tā de shì jiù de.
My phone is new, his is old.


远 vs 近 (yuǎn vs jìn) – far vs near

学校离我家很近,超市很远。
Xuéxiào lí wǒ jiā hěn jìn, chāoshì hěn yuǎn.
The school is near my home, the supermarket is far.


快 vs 慢 (kuài vs màn) – fast vs slow

他跑得很快,我跑得很慢。
Tā pǎo de hěn kuài, wǒ pǎo de hěn màn.
He runs fast, I run slow.


多 vs 少 (duō vs shǎo) – many vs few

这里的人很多,那边的人很少。
Zhèlǐ de rén hěn duō, nàbiān de rén hěn shǎo.
There are many people here, but few there.


好 vs 坏 (hǎo vs huài) – good vs bad

这个电影很好,那个很坏。
Zhège diànyǐng hěn hǎo, nàgè hěn huài.
This movie is good, that one is bad.


干净 vs 脏 (gānjìng vs zāng) – clean vs dirty

房间很干净,厕所很脏。
Fángjiān hěn gānjìng, cèsuǒ hěn zāng.
The room is clean, the toilet is dirty.


重 vs 轻 (zhòng vs qīng) – heavy vs light

这个箱子很重,那个很轻。
Zhège xiāngzi hěn zhòng, nàgè hěn qīng.
This box is heavy, that one is light.


容易 vs 难 (róngyì vs nán) – easy vs difficult

这道题很容易,那道很难。
Zhè dào tí hěn róngyì, nà dào hěn nán.
This question is easy, that one is difficult.


宽 vs 窄 (kuān vs zhǎi) – wide vs narrow

这条路很宽,那条很窄。
Zhè tiáo lù hěn kuān, nà tiáo hěn zhǎi.
This road is wide, that one is narrow.


富 vs 穷 (fù vs qióng) – rich vs poor

他家很富有,我家很穷。
Tā jiā hěn fùyǒu, wǒ jiā hěn qióng.
His family is rich, mine is poor.


快乐 vs 悲伤 (kuàilè vs bēishāng) – happy vs sad

她今天很快乐,昨天很悲伤。
Tā jīntiān hěn kuàilè, zuótiān hěn bēishāng.
She is happy today, but was sad yesterday.
